Dear A-1 Folks,

Just wanted to write you a short note to thank you and your wonderful crew for the installation on the new furnace.  When my furnace was struck by lightning late this last summer, we were unsure where to turn to.  Like most folks we contacted on of the larger dealer's around, after several meetings with them it was determined that not only their cost but the way they conduct business was not to our liking.  After discussing this with my wife we decided to call around, we contacted two other companies before calling A-1.  The first two companies couldn't come out to do an estimate for another week.  Then I called A-1, very refreshing, everyone was polite and helpful, and your company understood what it was like to be with out heat.  They set an appointment to come out that same day, the salesman, Jeb, was not only on time, but very polite and helpful in explaining the different furnace, and air conditioners.  We mad an agreement and to my surprise he said the installer would be out the very next day.  I just about fell over, couldn't believe my ear's.  Every other company was saying a week before an estimate could be done, and you folks were there the same day and would be installing the next day.  But my surprise didn't end there, when the installer showed up the next day, I was very impressed with the care they took in laying down throw rugs so as to not track dirt inside.  Couldn't believe these guys, Ryan and Kevin both very knowledgeable, and hard workers.  They arrived around 9 am, had the old furnace out by 10 am and immediately started on installation of the new furnace.  Their skill and knowledge was readily displayed in the process they used in their installation.  From measuring for the hood, to building a box for the air intake, these guys are real pro's.  With out taking any breaks, not even a lunch break these guys did such and excellent job.  Even when they were done they took the time to explain the furnace to us, the changing of the filter etc.. I will tell you this if I owned my own company I would be prod to have these guys working for me.  I am so impressed with your company that I plan to tell all my friends and co-workers of our positive experience with A-1.

Again, Thanks for being there, and please continue to treat all your customers the way we were treated it only shows that A-1 is the tops in Topeka.

Dear A-1 Plumbing & Heating Family:

This is my happy letter!

I am so impressed with your excellent marketing and customer service that I fell compelled to write.  I must admit that when I first called your many years ago it was because you were at the front of the Yellow Pages listing for Plumbing services.  A clever name decision on your part.  Your magnet has been on my refrigerator ever since.  The magnet is also a clever marketing tool you use that I admire.

Whenever I have required your services, I have been able to contact your office and arrange to receive a phone call at my office when your repair people are within five minutes of arriving at my house.  This user friendly arrangement allows me the convenience of not missing a whole morning or afternoon of work to wait for a repair person. Kudos!

Whenever I have had work done, I get a "Happy Phone Call" from your office.  I also get "Happy Postcards" from your office.  What a great marketing tool.  These sincere calls a postcards are excellent customer service follow-ups.

I must compliment Vern.  Vern is a true piece of work.  He is friendly, professional and thorough.  I have never doubted that he was earning his salary without taking advantage of me.  I trust his expertise and appreciate his humble demeanor.

I recently replaced my thirteen year old central heating and air conditioning unit, payment is enclosed.  You have Vern to that I used A-1.  Bern could not in good conscience suggest that we "fix" the unit again.  His honest assessment helped me make the costly choice to replace instead of repair the unit.

Once I made the decision to replace the unit, Shawn and Kevin were scheduled to show up the same week.  Great service.  Jeb said that Shawn was experienced in installing units in unique households.  Unique is a kind description of my house.  These two young me worked hard all day long and until dark.  I never saw them take a break.  They were polite, unobtrusive and kind to my pets.  Kevin at one point found me in the house and asked me if my dog was supposed to be out in the front street.  I find that very thoughtful and kind.

I am very happy with the climate control at my house.  I am very happy with your customer service.  When I opened the envelope that I thought would be a remittance reminder, I found a $25.00 gift certificate for dinner at Paisano's.  A-1, your service has knocked my socks off!  I am so taken with your customer service I would like you to know that I will refer any friend or stranger to you for plumbing and heating service.  If you need or want a testimonial, I will be happy to provide one.

Dear Mr. Holthaus,

Recently my wife and I decided to replace our furnace and air conditioner.  Both units had been serviced on numerous occasions, and we were told that they were both in need of replacement.  As a matter of fact, every time a season changed we wondered it these units would even start, not to mention make it completely though the season.  As you can probably imagine this caused a great deal of stress.

Finally we decided that enough was enough and started getting bids to have both units replaced.  I must tell you that your bid was NOT the lowest, nor was it the highest.  But, your presentation and complete understanding of what needed to be done gave us a great deal of peace and confidence in A-1's ability.  Let's face it, there are many companies that install furnaces and air conditioners, the yellow pages are full of them.  The problem is, how much do you know as a consumer about exactly what you need.  You must admit that there is a very good opportunity for the consumer to end up being sold something that they might not need. Your being able to explain the product and walk us through the whole process gave us a peace in regards to our decision making.

The installation was VERY professional.  Keep in mind that I work for a service company and I am very picky.  The crew came in, tore out the old system, installed the new system, and made it look like it had been there since day one.  When I got home that evening I expected to see the old furnace sitting in my front yard with A-1 trucks parked everywhere.  I also expected to see your employees in my laundry room scratching their heads and pondering how in the heck they were going to get the furnace installed in such a cramped area.  Much to my surprise, everyone was gone, the job was finished, and it looked and works GREAT.... just like you said it would.

Please express my satisfaction for a job well done to ALL of your employees.

Dear Mr. Holthaus:

Earlier this month my wife and I had the opportunity to be introduced to your company.  We are pleased to report that from our first telephone call to set up an appointment for an estimate, which was done at our convenience, to the finished installation of central air and heat units, we have been very impressed with your company.  Everyone connected with your company was customer oriented, polite, professional, efficient and very conscientious.  Everyone did what they said they would do and when they said they would do it.  We have not found this to be the typical way of doing business in the area and I have learned to not be easily impressed.  So our experience with your company was a refreshing change.

We must say that we were a little apprehensive when we first saw the young installation crew.  However, our fears were quickly put to rest when we saw how knowledgeable, experienced and efficient they were.  We were surprised that zone heating and cooling could be accomplished on our large two story home in just three business days.  From the red carpet that was rolled out each morning, to the "booties" they placed over their boots before entering our home, to the tarps placed over furnishings in each room, to the vacuuming that was done at the end of each day, they did their best not to make a mess in our home.  We felt they treated our home as they would want their own treated.

It is refreshing to do business with a company with Christian values in this day and age.  It was also a very pleasant changed to feel that our business was appreciated.  Keep up the good work, as we are proud to recommend you to anyone we can.
